This is a human gene. Related to many vascular malformations. Pathogenic variants in PIK3CA are found in lymphatic malformations, venous malformations, Klippel-Trenaunay syndrome, megalencephaly-capillary malformation- polymicrogyria, CLOVES syndrome, CLAPO syndrome and fibroadipose vascular anomaly (FAVA). PIK3CA related overgrowth spectrum (PROS) is a term which has been coined to cover the many various lesions caused by somatic variants in PIK3CA.
